DandyDialer Integration with Telnyx

Guide to use Telnyx SIP service provider with DandyDialer.



Prerequisite

  • Telnyx account with active credit.

  • A phone number assigned to your SIP connection.

  • Registered DandyDialer account.


Step 1: Create an Outbound Voice Profile in Telnyx

  1. Log in to Telnyx customer portal.

  2. From the left menu, go to Settings → Outbound Voice Profiles → Create Profile.

  3. Enter a name, for example - Dandy Telnyx. Then click Create.

  4. Choose Allowed Destinations(e.g. North America) and click Next.

  5. On the configuration page:

    Channel limit

    set the number of simultaneous calls you need(for example, 5).

    Max destination rate

    leave at default or set your own cap(e.g. $10).

  6. Click Next.


Step 2: Create a SIP Connection in Telnyx

  1. Go to SIP Trunking → SIP Connection → Create SIP Connection.

  2. Name it, for example Dandy SIP Telnyx.

  3. For Connection Type, choose Credentials (username/password) and click Create.

  4. Configure the connection under Authentication and Routing.

  5. Optionally, set up the webhooks if you need real-time communication events.

  6. In Advanced Settings -

    • Set DTMF to RFC 2833.

    • Disable noise suppression.

    • Enable comfort noise if needed.

    • Click Next.

  7. Under Outbound Settings, select the outbound voice profile you just made.

  8. Set Localization Country, Channel limits and Ringback as desired. Click Next.

  9. Assign your Telnyx number(s) -

    • Choose an available number and click Assign.

    • You will see a confirmation: Connection updated successfully. Click Complete.


Step 3: Add the SIP Gateway (Trunk) in DandyDialer

  1. In DandyDialer, go to SIP Gateways → Create SIP Gateway.

  2. Give it a name such as Dandy Telnyx SIP.

  3. Type in sip.telnyx.com in SIP Server field.

    Check telnyx documentation to know more about their usable SIP server addresses.
  4. In Auth Type section, choose Password Based -

    Username

    Telnyx SIP username from step 2.

    Password

    Telnyx SIP password from step 2.

  5. Set both Callee ID Format and Caller ID Format to International with '+' prefix.

  6. Configure Concurrent Call Limit and Call-per-second Limit based your needs.

  7. Finally, click Add button.


Step 4: Test the Setup

  1. Select the newly created gateway from the table.

  2. Click on the Test Gateway button in the sidebar.

  3. In the pop-up, select your Call Script, Caller ID, Agent if necessary and a Phone Number (i.e. +1-555-XXX-XXXX).

  4. Click on Make a Call button. You should see a progressing call log.

That’s it! Your DandyDialer account is now connected and ready to make calls with Telnyx.
